Cooke County ETC
-
Cooke County
Etc is a 16.2 hand buckskin stallion. Cooke was shown until age 4
when he was injured in a fence and fractured his pastern. His
brilliant show career was cut short with only 2 performance points earned
at one show but his breeding career speaks for itself.
-
His offspring
are proving him to be a versatile sire, and are
located in many countries including the United States, Canada,
Australia and Switzerland.
- Cooke's sire, who is now in
Europe, is a leading performance sire in Europe.
- Offers considered - appraised at $70,000.00 in 2004.

- June 5 notes about Aspen:
"Aspen now has about 50 rides. We are planning on showing him through
the summer. He has been pastured with geldings his whole life and
pastured next to mares. He is a perfect gentleman. He has been
extensively pasture ridden and trail ridden by himself and with groups
of horses. He has been up and down very steep embankments. He walks
jogs and lopes both directions. Sidepasses, backs, stops well. Very
quiet for the farrier. Ties and cross ties. Great in the trailer. He
loves to swim. We have ridden him in the tank with halter and lead
bareback. He swims and we hold his mane and he pulls us around. We
have ridden him all over 250 acres bareback with a halter and lead. He
has primarily been ridden in a rope halter and lead. We have had a
snaffle in his mouth about a dozen times and is doing well."

"Dewey"
-
Dewey is a beautiful 14 year old Paso Fino/Welsh pony (born in 1993).
He is smart, very flashy, and moves beautifully under saddle. He could go
Western or English, and is trained in both.
-
Dewey has also competed in AERC endurance and finished 50's in under 7
hours. He's a great trail horse, and goes through water confidently.
-
Dewey moves off light cues, sidepasses, does flying changes, rollbacks
etc. He was trained over fences 6 years ago and he just started
riding/schooling over them again. Quiet, confident over fences. Does not
rush the fences or pull the rider over top.
-
Teeth just floated. Good for farrier, trailers easy, bathes, ties,
cross ties, and current on vaccines.
-
13.3 hh
-
7 year old daughter rides him around the farm. Would be fine for a
beginner working closely with a trainer. Learns new things quickly. He
would be perfect for pony club, or 4-H.

A Passing Breeze
AKA Breeze
- 2004 Quarter Horse cross. Should not get above 14.1 hands. Kid project deluxe!
Ultimate kids horse.
- She is currently in training. She would make a cute reining pony and has a killer
stop. She would be a nice 4-H project or trail horse.
- She walks, jogs, and
lopes both ways. Haunch turns, stops, started on side passing. Extremely
soft mouth. Very quiet under saddle, has NEVER bucked. She cross ties and
bathes.
- Breeze is being used as a lesson horse.
- Started over fences.
- Currently being ridden over 250 acres bareback with a rope halter
and lead. She has been swimming in the tank and loves it. She pulls
around in the water while we hold her mane. She has also been started
over cross poles.
- Current on all vaccines and dewormings. Stands for the farrier.
- LOVES people. Comes to us in the pasture.
- We took her to the Northwest Washington Fair on 8/16/07. She
took first out of 9 horses in English pleasure. We took 3rd out of 7 in
huntseat equitation. These were her first canter classes and only the
second time being shown. She had to stand tied to the trailer with the
carnival rides going, walk under blowing flags, by draft horse hitches,
etc. She was great. Acted like she had done it everyday of her life.
This is going to be a first class show pony for kids.
- To approved home only. We want a home where she will be part of a
family for many years.
- $5000
