Cooke County ETC

Cooke County Etc is a 16.2 hand buckskin stallion.  Cooke was shown until age 4 when he was injured in a fence and fractured his pastern.  His brilliant show career was cut short with only 2 performance points earned at one show but his breeding career speaks for itself.  His offspring are proving him to be a versatile sire, and are located in many countries including the United States, Canada,  Australia and Switzerland.  Cooke's sire, who is now in Europe, is a leading performance sire in Europe.

Cross Bar Orion Bug

We are excited to announce a new stallion to the farm, Cross Bar Orion Bug. We are excited to have found Orie! He is a 2009, 14.3h, AQHA, sable champagne stallion. E/e, At/a, n/Ch. Five panel negative. Orie is eligible for registration with the FQHA. He came back at over 85%. He is a great grandson of Cooke County ETC and the sire of two foals we purchased earlier this year. Orie came to Texas from Canada when he was 3.5yrs old. He has about 4 months under saddle. His 2014 foal crop with Tonkawa Hill Quarter Horses was 100% champagne. Orie has a fabulous disposition. He got my attention when I first visited Tonkawa Hill Quarter Horses. He was playing with the foals like our late stallion WW Tinkas Toy used to. His foals are all people oriented like our Cooke and Tinka foals. They are in your pocket, quiet and easy to work with. There has been lots of interest in Orie's foals from overseas buyers. We expect there will be at least one overseas soon.

WW Tinkas Toy

Reference Sire

Tinka was a 1991 Blue Roan stallion. He was never shown. He spent most of his life as a herd stallion in Oregon. We bought Tinka in 2000. I had known him for several years and had purchased and trained several of his foals. All of his get have been athletic, easy to train, and love people. He threw about 70% color even on solid mares.
