Cooke County ETC is a 16.+ hand Buckskin Stallion. Cooke was shown in cutting until age 4 when he was injures. He fractured his pastern in a fence. His brilliant show career was cut short with only 2 performance points earned at one show. His breeding career speaks for itself. His offspring are proving him to be a versatile sire. His get are located in many countries including the United States, Canada, Switzerland, Australia, and Europe. Cooke’s sire has been a leading performance sire in Europe. Cooke County is registered with AQHA, IBHA, ABRA, and the Australian Quarter horse Association.

On 3/13/06 I rode Cooke for the first time in over 11 years. he was a perfect gentleman. He had great stops and an exceptionally smooth gait. He is a tremendous horse!

2008 Breeding Notices

Cooke had an accident in June of 2007 that fractured and tore ligaments in his hind leg in the joint above his fracture as a 4 year old. He slipped on cement and fell. We will only be doing limited cooled shipped this year to accommodate mares coming to the farm for breeding. We will be limiting his collections to reduce stress on the leg.

Miscellaneous Breeding Information

We try to include 2 breeding doses with each shipment. We ship Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

For mares coming to the farm the farm fee includes 5 days of mare care and 1 insemination and ultrasound. We also offer foaling services.

Counter to counter available under some circumstances ~NO CONTAINER FEES! With disposable shippers~
We have frozen semen available for export.
We only do AI. We do not live cover mares.
Cooke is EVA, CEM, and VS negative.
Cooke is NOMINATED for the AQHA Incentive Fund.

Congratulations to Trent Elkins and Elkins Quarter horses on their Youth PHBA World Champion title in reining. With the support of his parents ( Larry and Dianne Elkins) and under the guidance of Brett Walters of Bourbon, Indiana (pictured with his daughter Bailey), Trent qualified Number One Gold Coin for 3 world shows. Trent and "Cash" also claimed a top 5 finish (4th place) and the Youth APHA world show. Number One Gold Coin (out of Cooke County ETC by Miss Soxy Doc) is an 8 year old gelding registered with AQHA, PHBA, and APHA.
