Cooke County ETC, a 16+ hand buckskin stallion, was shown in cutting until age 4 when he was injured.  He fractured his pastern in a fence.  His brilliant show career was cut short with only 2 performance points earned at one show.  His breeding career speaks for itself.  His offspring are proving him to be a versatile sire.  His get are located in many countries including the United States, Canada, Switzerland, Australia, and Europe.  Cooke’s sire has been a leading performance sire in Europe.  Cooke County is registered with AQHA, IBHA, ABRA, and the Australian Quarter horse Association.

On 3/13/06 Cooke was ridden for the first time in over 11 years.  he was a perfect gentleman.  He had great stops and an exceptionally smooth gait.  He is a tremendous horse!

His offspring show talent in halter and both English and western disciplines!  Cooke foals are perfect for cutting, reining, western pleasure, hunter under saddle, jumping, halter, trail, dressage and more.  Cooke had a flowing stride with a fabulous neck and head that he passes to his foals.  He was very correct conformationally with good bone and a great wither.

Breeding Information

Cooke was euthanized in June of 2010 due to complications from arthritis. We will continue to have a few Cooke County Offspring available for purchase. All frozen semen is stored at Select Breeders Southwest. Select breeders handles all the shipping of the frozen semen. Shipping charges and container fees are paid directly to them. There are no live foal guarantees.

We have successfully bred mares in the US and Australia with Cooke's frozen semen.
