I keep seeing articles pop up in my news feed about how perfectly balanced the rider needs to be for the horse to perform to the best of their ability. This is true and in a perfect world the horse and rider will be perfectly balanced and in perfect harmony. But I don't live in a perfect world. I am not a perfectly balanced rider and never will be. I will always be right hand dominant. I will always sit slightly heavier on my right seat. My horse will never be perfectly balanced. They will be right or left handed and I will work everyday to make them more balanced.
