I taught a clinic this past weekend. After hearing me talk to multiple riders about going forward with balance and not being afraid to stop or slow down when the horse is not balanced, Liz Whitney came up to me and said, "I have a new phrase for you." Of course I got excited and asked what it was. "Forward without balance is backwards."
