Great analogy! I have also used the image of a slow-karate-chop the giant (moving an open hand out and up) for those early turns. I’m currently restarting a 10-year evergreen horse with only a handful of rides as a 2-3 year old and been a pasture ornament since. Coming back to these early basics is really valuable, as I’m trying to help him think, and carry himself balanced from the get-go.
