One of the hardest things to convince my students is that on the other side of the drama and challenges there are sunshine and rainbows. It’s hard to convince them that with good education you can take a reactive horse and make it responsive and responsible (the reverse is true as well). This is where borrowing my faith comes in. Even if they don’t believe it will happen, I ask them to trust my faith that it will. Faith never comes with guarantees or up front gratification. I have seen the other side many times and it’s worth it.
