I am a huge fan of tongue relief in the horse. I don’t like anything that collapses around the jaw or tongue. The horse needs to be able to swallow, lick, and chew with restriction. I also like being able to have independent action on each side of the mouth to promote suppleness instead of bracing. My go to bits are generally Myler brand.

These timers have been a life saver coming into summer. I have them set to come on mid day to refresh waters in the heat of the day. I turn on the manual timers at night to fill the troughs up. The timer automatically shuts them off. So no more forgetting to turn off the water! They come with more than one zone if you want I have one I can hook up to 4 hoses to battery operated.

It is such a great tool to see if your horse is moving evenly in all limbs, landing heel first, reaching from its hind leg. You can use aps such as coaches eye, measures, pic stitch to instantly check angles and compare images. You can get robot cameras that use your phone and monitor your riding. I love the Total Equine western girth. I have clients that use the English and Australian ones as well. The horses seem more comfortable and I feel the saddle is more stable. I avoid the neoprene, while easy to clean it creates more friction but if you aren’t spending hours everyday in the saddle it will be fine.
