I posted to our discussion group early last week about glueing shoes on my gelding. I glued bot fronts and hinds on. Why? He’s been tender. The sugars are getting to him. He hasn’t been as comfortable as he could be. Outright lame? No. But comfortable riding? Borderline. My job is to keep him comfortable. I’m asking him to do an unnatural job. So it’s my job to support him. How long do I think he will have to be in them? Right now my plan is 8-16 weeks. Resetting at 4-6 week intervals. He will tell me.
