When should we ride our young horses?

The debate of the century. There are many opinions on this topic and mine have changed throughout the year. I still have a horse standing in my pasture that I rode lightly at 20 months old. It is what we did. He has had to pay for my ignorance and I have worked for years to work to fix him and apologize. This is not meant to shame anyone. I am not pointing fingers because I have done it.
