Horses need a pause to process. When we ride we expect our horses to respond instantly to our aids. We want zero distraction and 💯 focus. We want obedience and submission. Kind of sounds like we want a servant.... most humans aren't capable of the focus we want from our horses. We need to be better steward. We have to present the horse with information. Then give them time to respond. Then we need to stop. Give them time to process. Maybe repeat or maybe just leave thar for the day. Pausing to process will get you farther than drilling for perfection.
