Horses do not plan to be naughty. They don’t wake up imagining ways to make our lives difficult or rides miserable. Horses genuinely want to live in a state of relaxation. If they are unable to, it is our job to figure out why. There are a few “outliers” that are genuinely not programmed correctly from birth and may always be reactive or unpleasant to be around. Those are the exception, not the rule.
