You have to understand the inside of the horse to communicate with the outside of the horse. 

Slow your aids down. When people talk fast they are hard to understand . Your horse can’t understand you when you rush your aids

Shortcuts and skipped steps lead to dysfunction. Just because you can do something doesn't mean you should do it.

Learning is painful. It requires us to let go of tradition, change habits, and accept we did the best we could until we knew better
