Trainer’s Tip Tuesday
Stop watching your horse’s head. Look up. Fussiness in the head and crookedness in the neck show a horse is crooked in the body and not coming through the back. Trainer’s Tip Tuesday
Horses draw on knowledge from previous experiences. Think of your relationship with your horse a bit like writing a book. Each day is a page in a chapter. Each month is a chapter. What is contained in each chapter will build your horse and help them to understand how to proceed with information in new chapters. The horse will reference the previous chapters to determine their reaction to what is happening in the current chapter.

Bonus
Salvation comes from chewing action. Chewing action helps with relaxation but there has to be some relaxation for chewing. Your hands can’t create this relaxation. Your hand can create chomping, gaping and grinding. That is not chewing. This guy is packing a bit during ground work. After several weeks of packing the bit we are getting good salivation. But it had nothing to do with the bit. He was very disconnected in his hind end and tight in his back. He could not hol
