Favorite Things Friday
I am a huge fan of tongue relief in the horse. I don’t like anything that collapses around the jaw or tongue. The horse needs to be able to swallow, lick, and chew with restriction. I also like being able to have independent action on each side of the mouth to promote suppleness instead of bracing. My go to bits are generally Myler brand.

Lunging should not be about getting the fresh off, wearing the horse out, running them in circles. It should hav

Patience makes progress. Rushing anything only gets you to the wrong destination more quickly. Your horse did not learn bad habits overnight. You did not learn bad habits overnight. You can’t fix either in a day, a week, a month. You need to set your goals with a long term mindset....“In a year from now I would like to be better at x.” Then you work to improve 1% each ride. Figure out what puzzle pieces need to be developed to achieve your goal. Be patient. Each piece take
